sunday morning we headed to campus and students were already
camped out to get tickets for next weekend's game against Oklahoma
we all went to our main buildings where most of our classes were held.
Francis is where I spent most of my time as an aggie
but as I walked up to the door
i noticed a sign
"we are moving"
sad day!
it was like going home and finding your house completely empty.
well, not quite that tramatizing but still unexpected.
this was the room where i had my first class as an RPTS student
i'm just glad that i got to walk the halls and say goodbye.

we are the aggies, the aggies are we

"big gulps, huh?
yep, well see ya later."
gotta love wal-mart in aggieland
the aggies put the spank on Idaho at
37 to 7 saturday night
the lloyds and woodleys whooped it up for the ags like old times
and encountered the youngest aggie who bleeds maroon.
he fell asleep with his head resting on a water bottle.
the band rocked as always
kati and i showed all the college girls how to get the perfect
jump shot on the first take
we finished off the night with dinner at our favorite authentic italian restaurant
Olive Garden :)

on the road again...

charlie and i left Houston late thursday evening and drove to Louisiana.
my grandmother, momie, hasn't been doing well for the past week
and we took time off to spend with her
since we spent most of the time in the hospital i do not have any pictures from
cajun town.
momie's spirits are up and she is looking forward to having her hair fixed.
She even told us we were turning her into a "pretzel" because she couldn't have any water
due to the stroke making it difficult for her to swallow on her own.
momie will probably be moved into physical therapy at the end of the week
and will hopefully be on the way to recovery.
after our visit in Louisiana we made a wonderful pit stop in Elysian Fields
to see the wonderful woodleys.
katilyn and adam are super luck to have baby deer come and visit their back yard!
{kati named the deers, tabitha, clovis and cleo...how cute is she?}
we spent some porch time...
and saw the best stick bug we've ever seen!
{charlie said he was such a good stick bug that he almost walked right past him}
the lloyds and woodleys met up with Jeremy in Longview, for a Tex-opean lunch
i.e. it lasted two hours and it went by in a flash.
Even with all of that time we forgot to take a pic...sad day!
After lunch, we high-tailed it to Dallas for a Michael and Anica's wedding.
Steph and John were also amongst the invited...
{can you tell i just finished jane eyer :)}
we loved the grounds of house where the ceremony and reception took place
take oneandtake two
the wedding was beautiful and very romantic
charlie was able to meet his cousin for a ranger's game on sunday
while steph showed me all of her favorite places around the Fort Worth area.
{funny street in "dirty d"}
it was a whirlwind weekend to be sure
but the time spend with family and friends made all of the driving worth while!

we R who we R

the omni gals headed off to the woodlands to
a much anticipated
Ke$ha concert
{hot and dangerous}
lets just say there were some dinosaur masks
and at one point Santa Clause showed up...
it was a fun / bazaar concert
especially during her Cannibal song.
She did not disappoint in the glitter department.
We were covered head to toe in sparkles.
She made one lucky fan's night
and I'll spare you the photos that ensued during this serenade.
Ke$ha is a fan of the cow bell and i have
no complaints when cow bells are involved!

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Hope you all had a restful long weekend
that felt extra-long!
We didn't take too many pictures this weekend
since most of the time we were in our PJ's.

Charlie and Jerms did take off to shoot guns
and ride 4 wheelers
This picture was right before Charlie spat
that death stick out.
Silly boy!
We wrapped up the weekend with our wonderful friends Kati and Adam
at Papasitas restaurant in  Longview, Tx.
On our way out we saw something quite frightening...
kati: Look at that dog in that box. I don't like dogs or babies in boxes!
me: we definetly need a picture with him
We had some time to kill before Kati needed to get back for
cheer practice so we wandered over to what looked
like a fun resale shop.
Apparently they have had trouble with their
tweens shoplifting...seriously considering sending this into the Ellen Show.
Our wandering took us a little farther into a
Tuesday Morning where
Kati picked up a decorative yet descriptive tin.
She said she wanted to hang it from a chain
and wear it as a necklace...if the chain hang low
wear that shee.
We are whities fosho, 4eva!
Husband pulled a U-ie to document this hillarious
street name.
Can you say "Red Neck"?

And who doesn't love a vintage drive-in theatre?
Cheers to a restful and fun labor day weekend!
